Originally hailing from the North Coast, Josée now imparts her artistic wisdom from her studio located in the Ballito area. With a diverse repertoire encompassing oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, pen and ink, she adeptly guides and instructs her students in their unique creative pursuits. Josée possesses an affinity for diversity and thrives on embracing challenges.
Her commissioned works can be admired in various corners of the world. Teaching has emerged as a profound source of joy for her, as she finds immense satisfaction in assisting others on their developmental artistic journeys. Josée Clerk's artistic journey has been shaped by her extensive education, including years of tutelage under Rita Wilkes and doing a commercial art course. Her prior involvement in financial and administrative aspects of business has lent a unique perspective to her art career. Notably, Josée held the role of treasurer within the Highway Art group and actively exhibited her paintings with the group. She remains deeply committed to the relentless pursuit of knowledge and continues to create art with an unwavering passion.
